Instants of Life

Dismantling paintings after an exhibition, the walls were left empty with only two nails, the museum label and the light indicated for the exhibit.

I was left alone and thoughtful. While I was admiring the play of lights, the importance of nails and the abstract nature of the labels, another project emerged, as often happens to me. Particularly in this case, I noticed how one project dies (the one removed) so that another might be born (the one presented here).

In ancient times, we rejoiced over the death of a loved one and wept when a soul came into the world to learn about pain. In this work, we can observe the evolution of life that ultimately always reaches the same destination.
